Hi there Lex,

Thanks for taking the time to write to us! ๐Ÿ˜„

The words you are talking about are called 'hyphenated compound words' - they are 'compound' words that use a hyphen to seperate them. In 'swimming pool' - it is written in two words (no need to use the hyphen). There are 3 types of compound words: closed compound words (no space), open compound words (space) and hyphenated compound words (hyphen used).

I hope this is helpful to you! ๐Ÿ˜„

Sincerely,

ร‰va

Hello,

In the meaning of swiming-pool, you use two joined words "man-made". In wich case can I join two or more words?

Let me know if I wrote in a correct form. (let me know my written mistakes)
