Focus
English Do you remember what Gustavo said when he handed Anna his business card?
Anna: This is my business card.
Alisha When you are giving something to someone, you start by saying the phrase
Brandon: this is
Alisha: then, say the item
Brandon: my business card
Alisha: Together it's
Brandon: This is my business card.
Alisha: The structure is
Brandon: This is [Alisha: plus the thing you are giving]
Alisha: You try! Imagine you're giving someone a present, what would you say?
PAUSE
Brandon: This is a present.
Alisha: Now, imagine you are giving your address to someone. What would you say as you handed it to them?
PAUSE
Brandon: This is my address.
Alisha: Do you remember what Anna says after Gustavo gives her his business card?
Anna: I have a business card too.
Alisha: First is the phrase
Brandon: I have
Alisha: Next is the phrase
Brandon: a business card
Alisha: and the last is the word
Brandon: too
Alisha: Together it's
Brandon: I have a business card too.
Alisha: You can use this structure any time you have something that someone else also has.
Brandon: I have [E: name the item] too.
Alisha: You try! Imagine your friend has a younger brother. What would you say to tell him or her you also have a younger brother?
PAUSE
Brandon: I have a younger brother too.
Alisha: Now, imagine your friend tells you that he or she has allergies, and you have allergies also. What would you say?
PAUSE
Brandon: I have allergies too.
Alisha: Later in the conversation, Anna wanted to draw attention to a particular piece of information on her business card โ€” in this case, her personal email address and phone number. Do you remember what she said?
Anna: My email and cell phone number are here.
Alisha: First, is a phrase for the items she wanted to draw attention to
Brandon: My email and cell phone number
Alisha: Next is the phrase
Brandon: are here
Alisha: Together it's
Brandon: My email and cell phone number are here.
Alisha: Notice that the word "address" was dropped from "email address." This is common in conversation. You can use this structure any time you want to draw attention to the location of something. If there is more than one item, first, list the items, and then say
Brandon: are here.
Alisha: If it is just one item you want to draw attention to, first say the item, and then say
Brandon: is here.
Alisha: Now, you try! Imagine you're looking at a map with your friend and you want to point out the location of the train station. What do you say?
PAUSE
Brandon: The train station is here.
Alisha: What if you want to point out where restaurants are on my map? What would you say?
PAUSE
Brandon: Restaurants are here.
Practice
Alisha Let's practice! This is your chance to exchange contact information in English. Try to remember what you learned and practice speaking! You're at a party, and want to exchange contact information with a woman who you met there. Ready? Here we go.
Alisha What do you say when you give her your business card?
(5 second pause)
Brandon: This is my business card.
Alisha: What do you say when you want to point out your email address and phone number?
(5 second pause)
Brandon: My email and cell phone number are here.
Alisha: The woman is just visiting for business. How would you say good bye and tell her that you hope she has a good time while she's in town?
(5 second pause)
Brandon: Bye-bye. Enjoy your stay!
Alisha: Great job! You've just exchanged contact information in English. You'll use these phrases many times, so be sure to practice!

Outro

Well done!
Now, watch the scene one more time. After that,
don't be afraid to exchange contact information with people you want to meet later! But be safe.
Bye.

hello , well the grammar quiz was cofused to me,the last try the words that I failed were:

-"Hey" that mean hello(casual).

-"Okay" mean..., but on the vocabulary there isn`t a meaning for this word so I opted for to write the word again.

I check the buttom "check the answer" but this don't help me because I didn't see the meaning of the word "okay" and the word "hey" was rigth!?

I am confused with this grammar quiz.
