Hello TT,

Thank you for your question.

It depends where you are, there are various tipping cultures throughout the world. For example, in America it is expected that you tip at least 10-20% of the bill. It isn't returned to you, it is for the waiter/service person toward their wages.

I hope this is helpful to you.

Cheers,

Eva

Hi, I'd like to ask, when is the appropriate time to give the tips to the waiter?

Is it after they returned the changes/credit card to you? and directly pay the $1 or $2 dollars to them?

Say if I got the bill, the bill shows that the tax (15%) is $1.2, I should give at least $2? (as coins may regard as impolite?)

I'm looking forward to seeing your reply soon. Thank you.

Hi Samuel Saidi,

Thanks for posting!

Tipping a server means to leave a portion of your bill usually around 10 to 20% as a tip depending on how the server acted towards you and if their mannerisms were pleasant to have around. A tip is extra money they a lot of servers in the USA appreciate.

If you have any other questions please let us know!

Cheers!
