Lesson Transcript

How many times have you been on one of your trips with your camera trying to immortalize particular moments? In the States, it can happen so often that not only landscapes can arouse your curiosity, but also many people! I know you don't want to skimp out on your album of the USA. That's why today, we will cover some phrases related to the one we saw in the previous lesson, Can you take my picture?
Now, you would like to ask for permission, Can I take your picture?
We start off with the helping verb can once again. Then we have the request that follows, I take your picture? Remember to use a rising intonation. So, once again, that's - Can I take your picture?
Some people will refuse and say no, but some people will gladly pose for you.
What if you are in a museum, an art gallery, or a shop and you want to take pictures. You would then ask, Can I take a picture here? Once again you start off with can, and then I take for action. Then we have a picture and then finally the location here. So all together we have, can I take a picture here?
Okay, now to close out today's lesson, we'd like you to practice what you've just learned. I'll say the phrase or sentence, and why don't you try saying it out loud? Good luck everybody!
- Can I take your picture?
- Can I take a picture here?
All right, that's going to do it for today! See you all soon!
