Dear Ma Xiaqing,

"requires" is a verb. The -ing form would be the continuous present tense form of the verb. The simple present tense conjugation (for the third person singular) is "requires".

Hope this helps and if you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

Kind regards,

Gabriella

Hello team:

there is a scentense in the pdf:"There is so much to do and see in different cities in the States, and there are times when access to some must-see places requires an admission ticket."

the word "requires" is n. or v.? if it V. ,the form of the word should be v-ing(requiring),is it right?

thanks.

Dear Ghassan,

"Do you have permission to enter this place" means "Are you allowed to enter this place?" or "Do you have the authority to enter this place?"

"Do you have admission" means "have you paid the ticket price/fee to enter?

"Admission" means "charge".

Kind regards,

Gabriella
