The word 'that' is used at the beginning of a sentence to show an object that is far away from the speaker. The plural form of 'that' is 'those' e.g. "Look at all of those apples on the tree over there!"

'That' and 'those' are generally used with 'there' to indicate that the object(s) are not close to the speaker.
